UAL Assignment 2 - 2023 - Peter Pan - Audition And Character Insights!

Auditions! Overall opinion on the character, who i think they are and their interactions. For my audition i chose to go for the character of Wendy. This took a lot of thinking because i wasn't sure if i was ready for a role like this as it is a very big part to play especially in a theatre of that size, however i thought to myself, nothing bad comes from trying. I really liked the character of Wendy as she was a very calm yet creative and adventurous character. Overall i just found her quite interesting and i liked it. I was a bit nervous but overall it was a fun day as when i wasn't auditioning i was helping other people with their audition pieces and it was great to help my classmates. Overall, the day went by quite quickly and it was a long process but it was a good learnin...

I briefly mention this exercise in PRODUCTION DIARIES, DATE : WEDNESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER. We had to split off into two circles to do this task. So, the point of the exercise is to learn to match and counter emotions when it is needed in acting, whilst also considering what is being said to you and responding - the exercise was labelled as a listening exercise as it was about us listening to one another and connecting simply through emotion. Kelly in our small circles handed someone a slip of paper with a certain emotion on it and a prompt line. From here, that person had to go stand in the centre of the circle with another person from the circle (who has no idea what the paper says) and read out their p...
