My Production Journey - Production Diaries (Year 1, Term 3)

  Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work* and does not include any work completed b y anyone other than myself. Tuesday 9th January Today we had Tom and we spent the day looking back into the history of the creative arts and acting. We started off the first half of the session by going back in time and looking at the history of the world. This started from the creation of the universe all the way to today. We each had to get a piece of paper and write a key event that happened in history on it and stick it up on the mirrors in the danced studio. We basically made a real life timeline. I wrote 'cold war' and helped my friends think of others. Some of the key events we had written in the timeline include: world war 1, world war 2, the big bang, the cold war, marilyn monroe, the death of the queen, covid 19, golden age, shakespeare, medieval medicine, LGBTQ+ right acts coming into place, etc. This was a really fun and educational task. Each audience made the performance go differently in an incredible way. For the general public, we had our performance go as rehearsed, making no changes unless we thought we could improve on something. Therefore it was a big, bold performance with high energy at all times and loud volume however on the other performances we had to make some small changes to it.
