Tuesday 9th January
Today we had Tom and we spent the day looking back into the history of the creative arts and acting. We started off the first half of the session by going back in time and looking at the history of the world. This started from the creation of the universe all the way to today. We each had to get a piece of paper and write a key event that happened in history on it and stick it up on the mirrors in the danced studio. We basically made a real life timeline. I wrote 'cold war' and helped my friends think of others. Some of the key events we had written in the timeline include: world war 1, world war 2, the big bang, the cold war, marilyn monroe, the death of the queen, covid 19, golden age, shakespeare, medieval medicine, LGBTQ+ right acts coming into place, etc. This was a really fun and educational task. After we had done this we had to look down the timeline and see what we had done. After we had done this we went down again and added a tv show, movie, musical, etc anything from the creative industries that we could link into what we wrote. In with the dinosaurs i wrote the good dinosaur, the big bang theory next to the big bang and horrible histories near Henry VII.
The reason that we did this is because we were looking to see how historical events changed the creative industries in good and bad ways and how they have always been around in some shape or form. We got to see with the paper the advancements in the industries and how its become more modernised. An example of this would be women not being on stage and it being performed by men - all female plays (such as six). I think this was a really creative way to delve into the history of what industry we are wanting to be in. It is so important for us to know the changes of our industry in the past to the present because it is changing at a constant and is an industry which has its highs and lows and it gave us a real perspective of that. It made me think of how much background a piece of work can have and how historically accurate it can be.
The second half of the day consisted of us going more in depth of a specific practitioner called Stanislavski. I had already known quite a bit about Stanislavski because of secondary school as he was the main practitioner we looked at but it was still interesting to learn about and go back over in more detail.
We learnt that before Stanislavski, theatre was very over dramatic and over the top. It was always human emotion enhanced, it wasn't naturalistic and it was all about capturing the emotion in a huge perspective.
Stanislavski changed that, his methods were focused on naturalism, making the actor connect with their actual emotions and how they would actually feel and act in that situation and putting it on stage, it was an uncommon thing at the time. We focused on a few of these techniques, we looked into emotional memory which is where you think of a memory of a time you felt the emotion you need to portray and use that on stage. We also looked at the 'magic if' which is where the actor would ask themselves how would they feel if it had happened to them and go from there if they haven't been in that situation before.
We got to try out his methods by looking at a script called 'The Proposal' which was about a man who wanted to marry a woman and is asking her father if he can marry her. I struggled with this script as i didn't really fully understand what was going on and i wasn't too sure how my character would feel, i definitely had to use the magic if in this situation as i was the man who wanted to marry the woman.
This definitely taught me that sometimes its okay to not know how your character would feel and sometimes it needed a bit more thought and detail on how to portray a character in a specific way.
Wednesday 10th January
Today was the first day looking at our connections script given to us by the national theatre. Kelly every year decides to do a challenge by entering a draw for a random script given to her by the National Theatre which is a bit different to the usual type of acting we do at college. It is good and she does this because its a new learning opportunity and something that has never been done before so we get to put our own creative twist on it and it cannot be classed as wrong. We have complete creative control with this script which i think is really cool. The script is called 'Shout' and it is about a girl with selective mutism. I think this is good because its showing awareness but at first look at the script i wasn't too sure about it as it was a little bit strange. We had been given the script to look at and get a feel for before we come back but on paper it didn't seem great. However, we spent the day doing a first read through of the script by sitting in a circle and having people swap in for different characters to see how it would look on its feet. I think this really helped me with envisioning the script in real life and how it would go and it reassured me about it more. It was great to see everyone get up and try it and see all the differences in the characters. I believe this was a really good activity to do before the audition process as it gave us a better idea of what was going on in the script and allowed us all to try and connect with a character in some way.
Also, today was the hand in day for the first draft of the new views script writing competition. This is something i have been working on over the holidays and i was writing my own script to enter a competition down at the National Theatre. It was challenging but i am really happy with the first draft!
Finally, my friend and class mate Alan Tarkil announced that he was needing people for his play 'Snowdrop' that won the competition last year and he was putting it on at the Arc which is so cool!
Thursday 11th January
Today was another day focusing on the National Theatre Connections piece and today was all about trying to push us out of our comfort zone and exploring new ideas. We started the day with Abi and her exercises were all about getting us to be more comfortable and confident with what we are doing with our work and being able to do weird and wacky things without the fear of judgement. To start the activities, we all got into a circle and if Abi said an odd number you had to name a supermarket, if she said an even you had to name a car brand. She picked on random people in the circle and it took a lot of tries for us to get all the way to 10 because there wasn't enough concentration but it was a fun game to get us started and zoned in. The point of the activity was for us to get a better understanding and connection with one another, it was all about listening and concentrating. After this, we did an activity of passing around the click. One person had to send the click to someone else using eye contact and the other had to claim it and resend it. This part was great because it required a lot of concentration and helped us improve with working as a team. After we got this part good we advanced it by having a person stand in the middle of the circle and they had to try "grab" the click or block it from being sent. When in the centre, it was very hard to keep track of the click and where it was going even though nobody was moving. After a few times in a circle, Abi advanced this activity further by having us move around and someone try get the click, which was even harder. The point of the activity was definitely concentration but i think it also linked really well in with our play and how Dana must feel because i feel the click was a metaphor of everything going on in the world and the person trying to grab the click getting lost and confused is how she must feel in society, as it got lost often. It was a really good activity.
The main activity of the day however was the last one we did and it was by far my favourite. We had to bring in headphones and pick a song, we found a space by ourselves and we had to shut our eyes and play the song to the max volume so we could only hear the song and nothing else. It was like a silent disco, focusing on nothing but ourselves and the music. The whole point of this exercised was to dance or just feel the music in any way you would when nobody is watching, it was to get rid of the fear of judgement and to be more confident in leaving your comfort zone. Letting go of everything and not worrying about anyone else watching you. I enjoyed this as i was so focused on the music so you forget other people are even there. This will definitely be useful in future projects including this one as it is very out of our boundaries and there a lot of scenes which may seem awkward to do, however this slowly gets you comfortable with being out that comfort zone.
After this, we got given a connections script task of Dana and Tristans text message scene. I loved this next part as i got to direct it! It was so fun to explore the different creative freedom you have with this scene as people are text messages and human beings. The way i envisioned it was the texts were robotic at first and then as they started talking the focus was on them, as if it was them who were the ones having the conversation. I envisioned inside out when doing this, as if Danas control pannel and emotions went into her phone as she is very closed of in real life but tristan the opposite. It was such a fun activity to do and we did it to give Kelly some more ideas for what to do for the scene but also to show the creativity we have within ourselves.
Monday 15th January
Today was the very start of the audition process for our connections which was so fun! It started by Kelly asking us who we wanted to audition for if we wanted to be in the connections challenge this year and asked us to go to the other side of the room to the people who weren't sure and to get into groups with the people who are looking into the same character as you. I was struggling with who i wanted to go for but in the end i decided Viv as i liked her character, she was so upbeat and strongly opinionated and i loved her character. I believe she would be a challenge as she randomly bursts out in dance and it is out my comfort zone, i would love to try something that stretches me to do something i believe will be awkward for me to get into but to explore it more.
Once we were in these groups, Kelly asked us all some questions like what interests you about your character, why you want to go for them, how they will challenge you, etc. and we got to answer these questions in our groups and find out about why each other want to go for the character aswell. I believe this was done to show how different we all interpret the character and to see what we are up against but overall so Kelly can get the answers to these questions as a whole. I loved this as i got to see what everyone else was thinking at the same time as me. After this, we got told about the audition process and how we can pick our own scene and who we want to audition with, so we got to go around and find someone to audition with and pick out our own scene. I didn't know who i wanted to work with or do so i waited awhile for this and did a bit of thinking.
After this morning session was done, we spent some time working on Alan's play 'Snowdrop' and we worked on the Polish boarder. It was so interesting yet so difficullt to listen to and work with him as he explained his story and his journey here and it was so brave. I love that i get to help him tell his story on stage. We worked on the train station scene, being all wrapped up and warm and making our own little stories in the background, it was incredible.
Wednesday 17th January
Today was audition day! I was looking forward to it as i had worked hard learning my lines and trying to understand my character and i thought it was going to be so fun! The day started with a new game we haven't done before created by two of my classmates Evie and Ash. It was so fun and creative! We all had to sit in the circle and close our eyes and they would pick a mayor, a murderer and a doctor. Whilst we had our eyes closed, the murderers would open their eyes and point at someone to kill. After this the doctors would open their eyes and pick someone to save. If they picked the same person as the murder that person would survive. We all had to try figure out who the murderer was and the mayor got an extra vote. It was so creative and i loved it! The whole point of this was to get ourselves focused and our brains working on problem solving for the day. As well as this we also played splat and wah.
It was then time to start the audition process! Kelly gave us time before we started them to just go over our scenes again to make sure we were prepared and i decided i was going to audition with Jess and we thought about spacing and how we wanted to do it as we hadn't practiced together before this. We figured it out and we were happy with it and ready for the real thing!
I think that the audition went well! I was scared at first because the whole class was watching the audition process this time which made me more nervous as i was used to just Kelly or Kelly and a few other people not a class of 50. However i didn't let this sway me from what i was doing and it went as i wanted it to go. There was certain parts i wished i was more confident on though because i knew you could hear the nervousness in my voice.
The reason Kelly had everyone watch our auditions was to make us more comfortable with performing in front of everyone and to introduce us to a new auditioning technique. It was such a fun day to watch everyone elses interpretations and characters come to life!
Thursday 18th January
Today we spent the day going over snowdrop with Alan again and it was so much fun! Before this process started however, we played a new game again created by two of our classmates Erin and Millie. It was so creative! We all stood in a circle and had to add one word to create a story. After the story was created, we had to add ourselves to the story in the centre and bring this story to life. It was so chaotic but it was so good. It was done to show that impulsive choices and improvisation of not knowing what is coming next can still create a really cool, random image and how theres no wrong answer in acting and creativity.
We then moved on to Snowdrop and today was the first time i did my scene with Alan! I am so lucky to be working with Alan as he gave me the honour of representing "Love" in his play with the character of Lubov and it was such a wholesome moment and it really showed the strength of humanity. I loved this part and watching it come to life with Alan and we worked on it until we were happy with it. It was such a productive day and i look forward to exploring my character more and making it more realistic as it is such an important thing to Alan.
Monday 22nd January
Today we were in the theatre and it was such a fun, creative day! We started the day as usual with some games such as Wink murder and Ninja but then we quickly moved on to our task of the day. We didn't spend the day looking into Connections but working on other stuff.
The first activity was called the moment it all changed. We got into groups of 5 and i worked with Layla, Evie, Scarlet and Paige and we had to create a scene with the motivation of the moment it all changed. We created a scene of a happy family with kids but then the wife cheats and breaks the family apart, taking the kids away and ruining the other mothers life. I thought our piece was so creative and me and Evie were the children. It was so fun to act out and explore because there was many possibilites and ways we could've done it but i loved the way we did it. The reason we did this was to work on our improvisation skills and show that we can create a scene from scratch with a simple sentence.
After this, we moved on to the second half of the days where we worked on a new scene and script. We got told to get into groups and i wanted to work with Noah and Keiran because i haven't worked with them before then we got handed a script which was bland and boring with no character names and we had to make something interesting out of the script. Ours was that we got stuck in an elevator in a zombie apocolypse and it was so interesting to work on! We got given this task because Abi wanted to see that we can be creative with even the simplest things and it was a great start to the scenes.
Tuesday 23rd January
Today's morning session with Tom was him talking about how he presents a class and what he has to work on to do so, this included his body language and his tone and what he focuses on. He did this because he then told us our assignment which would be to get into groups and work on a powerpoint about a practitioner of our choice. I chose to work with Scarlet and we worked on a practitioner called Viola Spolin. We then spent the rest of the day researching Viola Spolin and getting an idea of what she did and making a start on our powerpoint.
Thursday 25th January
Today we spent the day having a deeper look into our characters and who they are. To start this off and understand what Kelly wanted we started with a game where we had to put ourselves in a supermarket with an objective and a thought of our character in mind, our age, speed, what we wanted and what we were doing. We then ramped this up by adding different interactions like hatred, arguing, helping eachother out, etc. It was all about making us think more in depth about what we are doing in a scene and thinking of the subtext of what is going on.
We then moved on to getting given our character development script and going through a few things we had to do for our characters for Shout. We had to think about a lot of different parts of our character's but we started with the names and their meanings. For me i gave my character the name of Lucy and we thought in depth why that name was given - mine was for the stereotypical mean girl name. It was fun to think about our characters in more detail and i look forward to developing this further! After this we started carrying on with our TikTok account task we got set by Kelly which meant me and the girls had to create an account in character, being those people outside of college and how they would act in day to day life through Tiktok which is so fun. The reason we are doing this is so we get a better understanding of who our characters are and so we can be in the mindset of them better on stage.
After this, we carried on with our elevator scene from before, we went over it a few times and brought some props in and we filmed it. We went into the changing rooms to film this as we recreated an elevator-like setting. The reason we did this task is because Kelly wants us to focus more on film and wants to film these in the future and wanted us to try some scripts.
Monday 29th January
Today we were in the theatre without the second years because they have gone to prepare for their show partnered up with 'Zest Theatre'. Last year before i joined, Zest come in and talked to our second years about their lives and turned it into a performance which they are putting on Friday meaning it was just us first years, Kelly and Abi and it was so fun!
We started the day by playing a few warm up games as usual such as ninja, wah and splat which was great because it got us active and ready for the day.
So, for the first half of the day we were making sock puppets! Yesterday Kelly said she had an idea that she wanted to try so she messaged on teams and asked us if we could all bring a sock into college. I thought this was pretty strange but did as asked and it was so fun! I gave my sock puppets big googly eyes and a tongue as all the others had but i also gave it a necklace and some funky hair using pipe cleaners. The hair was purple and pink and the necklace was blue. The reason that we made these sock puppets is because Kelly wanted to do something creative for the snake scene that happens in the script. Dana gets surrounded by snakes and she wanted to make the puppets represent the snakes. This was a really good idea because it got us to think about all the different ways we could bring them around her and it let us all individually add our own creative twist to the scene as in my opinion each snake was our own and representive of the different people around Dana.
After all the sock puppets were made, we spent the rest of the day trying to create a piece with these sock puppets, we had to find some music to fit the snakes and make a physical theatre piece based around Dana and the sock puppets. I loved this and i helped to direct and i think what we made was so creative as it was as if she was being surrounded and suffocated by these snakes, but in reality they were all fake. I love this idea as i believe it shows that an illusion of a fear can be created in simplistic ways, and it was amazing.
Tuesday 30th January
Today our morning session was all based around the opening scene with Dana. We had to try create an environment around her where she couldn't get through to the front of the stage and was very crowded. The reason we had to do this is to make her feel invisible and suffocated to add more to the fact she couldn't speak. We did this by blocking her every time she tried to walk past "accidentally" as if we can't see her. It was such a creative idea and i loved it as my character was gossiping with the girls and laughing at other characters, it was our world excluding Dana.
Today was also the first day shooting oblivious and it was so fun! I was a coridoor character for today but i loved working on set with all the others and seeing how it would play out and being in my 90s costume.
Wednesday 31st January
Today it was just us 1st years with the Level 2's and we had such a fun day! It was a taster day to what the Level 3 course was like for the level 2s and we did some great activities with them. We introduced them to the game Ninja and what are you doing and it was so fun to do these warm up activities with them. We also introduced them to wah. We then did a quick game of get into groups of, and then Kelly shouted groups of 5 and thats who we worked with for the next activity. I worked with George, Scarlet Hayley and Evie and we had to create a piece using given prompts that Kelly handed us. Our start line was - Are you sure we should be doing this? And our end line was - Will you marry me?
This was so fun to create, we created a scene where the wife is cheating and gets caught and it ruins her wedding, at the wedding the vicar doesn't know what he was doing and in the end the person who she cheated with proposes and she said yes. I loved this it was such a funny piece and it was all about being creative with little to no knowledge.
Friday 2nd February
Today was the last filming day for Oblivious and it was my scene with George! It went so good and it was so funny, i got to say my lines and work with the camera but George kept mispronouncing the name and it was funny. It was such a funny little day, i was only in for a couple of hours.
Monday 5th February
Today was so fun! The morning session was all about us being in sync and trusting eachother so the day started of with the activity of walking in sync. This is a great activity because its all about listening to eachother and feeling the moment and the syncronisation will fall into place. We then moved on to a roller coaster ride where we experimented with different speeds in a line and turns and we had to overdramatizse it and it was so fun! We also did a game of tug of war and our team won every time. After this was my favourite activity. Abi put some music on and we had to dance to the music with eachother and it was a different type every time. It was so great to connect to eachother and be free to dance with eachother without judgement. It went that well we all suggested a song and showed them a dance that was created last year and made a dance circle together which we all enjoyed. It was such an amazing moment and it was so so fun.
After this, i spent the rest of the day waiting to talk to the new views writer who came in to talk about my script. She gave me some great advice on how to improve it such as making it an abusive relationship and developing it even further the push and the way to get to success. It was such a fun, productive day all about connecting with one another because that is the whole point of the play we are doing, to be connected.
Thursday 8th February
Today we spent the day in Arc doing a tech run for Snowdrop! It was so fun and we had to be so patient but it was so fun. Once our scenes were out of the way we got to watch the rest of the play unfold infront of us and it was so amazing to see, and with lights and sound it was such an incredible piece.
I also helped my friend Harvey this day do his first round of auditions for his show "Teachers" and got to be on the pannel. I enjoyed giving my advice and helping Harvey where it was needed and it was really cool to see what it is like to be on the other side of the audition process.
Tuesday 13th February
Today was a simple day and morning session where we focused on our powerpoints again and we added Delroy to our group. We spent all day going over our research and adding more to our powerpoints, getting them perfected for when we will be presenting them.
Wednesday 14th February
Today was a sweet day! We all wore either pink or red and spent the day doing some sweet, fun activities all based around Valentines day! We gave eachother compliments, wrote notes and it was a day all about loving and caring for eachother. I thought this was so sweet and a lovely way to put a fun twist on the day whilst still doing some acting tasks, such as a wedding that got crashed.
Thursday 15th February-
Today was an independent working day and i spent the day with Harvey, George and an ex student called Henry on the audition pannel again.
The day started with a few warm up games and as we did this one of the old second years came to visit and join in for the day! We all played ninja together and it was great to see someone in uni come back. We then went to the pannel and we helped Harvey again with making his decision with more people and more options. I once again loved doing this as it was so good to see everyones talent and be on the other side.
Wednesday 28th February
Today we started the day by going over our tongue twisters from a few terms ago, seeing if we remembered them and working on them again. We had a competition between groups to see who was the best at them. The reason we did this was to work on our diction for the show as it is one of our biggest issues that we are having. It was a fun warm up.
After this, it was more of an independent working day again however today we showed Kelly our bathroom scenes and she was extremely happy with them. She could tell that we had put a lot of thought into our characters and delved into it and worked as a team together. She didn't have many notes but added a few suggestions that we could do to make it even more interesting. For example she said we all hate eachother but have always been friends which was interesting, she also said that Layla's character was having an affair with Scarlet's characters boyfriend which added to the tension more. I loved working on these suggestions and i'm so happy Kelly is happy with what we have created!
Monday 4th March
Today we spent the day looking in more detail at the opening scene, making it more catching to the audience. We kept the original idea however we slowed it all down, making it overdramatic and extremely slow - inspo from lala land - and keeping Dana at normal speed. This was to make it more interesting to the audience and once we got it, it was really good.
After this it was Hunt auditions! I was so excited yet scared for my audition but i think it went really well, i was happy with my end result and even got a call back so fingers crossed!
Tuesday 5th March
Today we were in the theatre with Tom and it was a day all about the auditioning process and what happens after college. It was such a good day.
It started by us playing a concentration game with balls of different colours. Each ball would get thrown to you and you had to throw it to someone else but each ball was a different combanation of people. It was all about focus and concentration and to demonstrate the type of things that can happen in an audition workshop. We then advanced this even further by walking around the room reciting nursery rhymes whilst keeping the rhythm and pattern of the ball. I enjoyed this task and found it challenging but fun!
We then moved on to a little red riding hood piece, we had to create the piece and be creative, and it was another demonstration of what would happen, it was to show that directors are looking for creativity they maybe didnt think of - something different.
Overall this day was very useful as it taught me a lot about what options i have in the future and what the positives and negatives of the industry are.
Wednesday 6th March
Today we started the day with warm up games and we were in the theatre until break and we worked on just doing some more run throughs and patching up anything that needed any extra work on. It was a productive day but also quite a lot of individual learning went on.
Another exciting thing that happened today was that we got the cast list back for 'Hunt' which i had auditioned for the role of Fra and i got the role! I got cast 1 Fra as well which meant i would be the Irish cast and would be focusing on an Irish accent and working with some of my closest friends!
Tuesday 12th March
Today we were with Tom again for our morning session and we spent the day listening and interacting with the powerpoints of the practitioners everyone had been working on. It was finally time for me Delroy and Scarlet to present our powerpoint that we had been working on to the class. I was quite scared to do it but i knew that i had worked hard on it and i knew what i was talking about so i was also quite excited. The presentation went really well! Everyone was interacting with our two practical tasks really well and they all enjoyed and understood what they had to do with no issues which is great. I'm glad that we were able to make it simple and effective. Everyone was listening to us on all the other slides and Delroy made it very fun by grabbing the classes attention and asking them if they were still listening in a joking manor. We had a few more to watch after ours but it was fun!
After we had finished watching them all we got our verbal feedback from Tom and we all passed! This was great and he gave us some advice for the future. He said that he could tell we knew it but we were relying on the board too much. The advice he gave was that we should write less on the slides and be confident with what we know and present to the class not looking behind us. Over all i was very happy and took the feedback in and will use it for next time.
The whole point of the powerpoints was to give us a new skill of presenting to a class and to show that we are able to teach and present what we are learning to others. It was also for us to learn something new about each practitioner that was shown and it was a great learning experience and i had fun doing it! The activities given were so fun and the facts were so interesting.
After this, we spent some time after lunch doing a full run through of shout for Tom to show him what we have been doing and to get some advice to make any last minute adjustments to make it better. Over all this run through was a bit messy and we were still not happy with the book scene so Tom helped us out. He watched it all and then gave us some advice with volume (we needed to increase it), set movement (it needed to be smooth and at the same time), and some other notes which were very useful. We then spent time focusing on the book scene and it completely changed for the better! We now come into the set and surround Dana with the books, flapping the pages to show the heart racing and then seperate to the sea. I then help her sway back and forth as if she is stuck in the sea. It is so much better than it was before and i'm glad Tom was there to help.
Thursday 14th March
Today was a busy one! I am usually only in on an afternoon on Thursdays but Callum asked us to come in for a read through of Hunt which is where my day started. I enjoyed this as it was the start of our journey delving into our characters together. We worked on the opening scene and we looked at some of my scenes with Will and Lily and it was productive and fun!
After this, our normal session started and we were in the theatre for a light tech run. This took up the entire day but it was still very productive.
It started with some warm ups both vocal and movement. We played a game of wah then moved on to Gracie leading us one of her amazing movement warm ups. Her warm ups are great because it stretches our entire body and gets us on a high energy level ready for the day. We definitely need this energy as our show is next week. After this, Alan lead a vocal warm up which was the most important one of the day because we need to work on our volume the most as we believe this is the weakest part of our show.
We then sat in the audience and did a read through sat down of Shout to time it and for the cue's to be sorted by Abi. This was needed because we needed to make sure everything was right and organised for the show.
After this to end off the day, we ran the end scene in the classroom and went over it again making our emotions even more over the top. After this we did our final scene which is my favourite. It plays the breakfast club music "dont you" and it is a moment where we all come together and sing and dance, then sit down and take a yearbook photo and dance off. I believe this just really brings the whole show together as it really focuses on the point of the play - not being alone and having a voice within yourself and eachother and i think it was just an amazing moment to act. Overall a productive end to the week!
Tuesday 19th March
Today we were with Tom again for our morning session and we spent the day going over the rest of the presentations. It was so great to see what everyone else was coming up with and learning new things about the practitioners and the practicals were so fun! My favourite practical was one where we had to recreate the story line to Bonnie and Clyde. It was my favourite because we didn't know the story so we had to try our best so it was a challenge and i loved it. The point of the presentations and practicals was to get us to do something new from each different practitioner people had looked into and to increase our knowledge of people in the acting industry.
After this, we had one full run through of Shout and that was the day over. The reason we only did one run through was so that we didn't burn ourselves out and over do it before the show which i think was a great idea. I felt confident for the show all we needed to work on was our volume and i believed we were ready.
Thursday 21st March
Today was show day!!! I was so excited from the minute i got into college as we started getting prepared straight away. I led a vocal warm up for the day which was great as i felt confident enough to do so, it included when the saints, 12345, to stop the train, vowels etc. To push it even further i had eveyone face the audience seats and project out to me a line they say in the play, if they needed to increase their volume i told them they needed to and it was a great way to start of the day with our volume and vocal chords being worked on and warmed up. We then did one run through and after that worked on getting ready! It was such an exciting part getting ready. Right before we went on we all did a dance in the dance studio together to get us all connected and happy and hyped for the show, it was such a wonderful moment as we were all connected and supporting eachother ready for the show. The show went so well! I'm so happy with how it turned out everything i had planned went exactly how i wanted it to go and we could hear the audience enjoying it. After the show we had the reviewer come speak to us and she absolutely loved it which is amazing! It is exactly what we wanted as we had put so much work into what we had done and it had paid off. Such a surreal and amazing experience.
