Collaborative Showcase - Showreel

Comedy, Romance, Hard Hitting Scenes.
Team: Quinn, Harriet, Me, Keiran




Comedy: THE DUFF.

Preparations

The first thing that I needed to do to prepare for this clip is find where in the movie I wanted to take the scene from. I've decided to go from the point 30:37 - 32:30



Once i had my scripts, i was able to give one of them to Kieran who is working on this script with me



Once all preparations had been in place, we moved onto filming. This was great - setting up all the set, working out camera angles etc. It went smoothly and there were no issues, currently in the editing process.

Everything is the same with this short copycat scene, to be edited!



As for the rest of the fringe, me Delroy and Lola my classmates are the creative directors. This is our mutual work:

Overall time - 120 minutes including 15-20min interval


 Overall Set - Production Set - cameras, lights, clapper board, Hollywood sign etc - Working around the Legally Blonde set.

Opening - Welcome to the Rock ensemble will then be cut off by a director, set will be moved on to make it look like a production - 3- 4 minutes

Lily clapper board - " cut!  Well done guys we'll start with the next scene tomorrow"  Spotlight goes out - lights go back to normal - charlie & cast walk on.

Charlie & cast move set - a lovely light beginning starts. "well done guys" begins into
A lovely night - Layla and Lola - 4 mins 
Pause when song ends - boogie 2nite starts playing - lola & layla run off and these run on

FOR NOW: Ensemble will move set on - bouncers/shakers stood on stage improv acting move into scene

Unless in the second act, everyone will  get changed into a "premiere" outfit and go into the foyer / outside theatre and take photos as a "Oscars celebration." People can hold trophies, certificates and have a mini photoshoot. 

After interval - Everyone goes back into makeup room/ wings

Ensemble will move set on and off & dev in position - beth enters

Ensemble move all the set - Director shout : Well done today guys, we'll pick everything up tomorrow. - Everyone enters dressed in the "premiere" outfits through the foyer and sits in the audience.

Everyone moves from the audience to the stage during the instrumental and gets into a line for finale in the nice outfits.

Monday 9th September  Today was our first official day back at college and our chance to start officially working with our new first years. We started the year as usual by an introduction to some acting techniques and the Ghost light tours. Improvisation The first half of the morning consisted of getting us back into the rhythm of acting and out of our own headspace, as that is key to being a good actor. We did this by focusing on improvisation. We started with some warm up games we have done before, such as 'What are you doing?' and 'Yes, Lets' which got everyone comfortable in the space and provided an introduction to the day.
