My Production Journey - Production Diaries (Year 1, Term 3)

Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work* and does not include any work completed b y anyone other than myself. Tuesday 9th January Today we had Tom and we spent the day looking back into the history of the creative arts and acting. We started off the first half of the session by going back in time and looking at the history of the world. This started from the creation of the universe all the way to today. We each had to get a piece of paper and write a key event that happened in history on it and stick it up on the mirrors in the danced studio. We basically made a real life timeline. I wrote 'cold war' and helped my friends think of others. Some of the key events we had written in the timeline include: world war 1, world war 2, the big bang, the cold war, marilyn monroe, the death of the queen, covid 19, golden age, shakespeare, medieval medicine, LGBTQ+ right acts coming into place, etc. This was a really fun and educational task. UAL Assignment 2 - Engaging With An Audience (Year 1, 2023)

Production Diaries FOR PRODUCTION DIARY THIS TERM SEE POST : https://siennasactingexperience.blogspot.com/2023/11/my-production-journey-production.html Auditions And Peter Pan Characters FOR AUDITIONS AND PETER PAN CHARACTER INSIGHTS SEE POST : https://siennasactingexperience.blogspot.com/2023/11/ual-assignment-2-2023-peter-pan.html Audiences And Their Expectations When performing Peter Pan at the Arc, we had 3 different audience types over the 6 shows: relaxed, primary school and public. Each audience made the performance go differently in an incredible way. For the general public, we had our performance go as rehearsed, making no changes unless we thought we could improve on something. Therefore it was a big, bold performance with high energy at all times and loud volume however on the other performances we had to make some small changes to it. For example, when we were informed about the relaxed performance we knew that they would be allowed to talk, leave if needed and get up...

UAL Assignment 2 - 2023 - Peter Pan - Audition And Character Insights!

Auditions! Overall opinion on the character, who i think they are and their interactions. For my audition i chose to go for the character of Wendy. This took a lot of thinking because i wasn't sure if i was ready for a role like this as it is a very big part to play especially in a theatre of that size, however i thought to myself, nothing bad comes from trying. I really liked the character of Wendy as she was a very calm yet creative and adventurous character. Overall i just found her quite interesting and i liked it. I think she is a nice, responsible girl who is sticking to the rules but wants to be adventurous, which is why i like her as she isn't afraid to go on that adventure with Peter Pan. She is understanding of her family and knows how to deal with them, yet also understands all the other, less mature characters such as the lost boys. I like the balance between her emotions, her maturity and curiosity fit in with each other nicely. I think on some level she relates ...

Candidate Declaration - I confirm that the attached portfolio is all my own work* and does not include any work completed b y anyone other than myself. Monday 6th November - Acting Audition! Today was the first official day for the Christmas show we are performing at the Arc, Stockton - 'Peter Pan the British Musical' and it was a busy one! During our half term holidays Kelly sent us the audition pieces we would need to learn for our chosen character. We proceeded with the day by firstly doing a few warm up games such as wink murder and splat to get us in an energetic mood, then we each individual go into the theatre and it was done by characters (all the Hooks then Wendy's then Peters etc.) and it took all day. I was a bit nervous but overall it was a fun day as when i wasn't auditioning i was helping other people with their audition pieces and it was great to help my classmates. Overall, the day went by quite quickly and it was a long process but it was a good learnin...
