Audition Preparation, Understanding and Process Questions to think about before entering What were your initial thoughts on the script that you have chosen? My initial thoughts were that it is a very hard hitting script, and that it will require a lot of raw emotions and understanding to do it correctly. Which particular character/s do you like/ resonate with you? Susie - I feel like she is extremely interesting and goes on the biggest journey of having to understand the fact that she is dead and able to see her killer interacting with her family, and trying to communicate to them. In what ways do you think that this particular piece will challenge you? Tuesday 29th April   Today was the first official day of rehearsals for The Railway Children. We started the day by doing a quick warm up with the whole class -  we did this to get us prepared for the day both mentally and physically and it ensured everyone was in the zone for rehearsing. We then split into our casts - everyone in the Railway Children went next door to Tom's room, where we got started on the project! This show we are doing a little differently as it is being performed at Locomotive, Shildon. Before we started blocking anything, we taped two lines along the floor to represent the stage that we have, as it will be done with Traverse Staging. Strengths and Ambitions For myself as an actor, i would say that my biggest strength is my facial emotion/naturalism. This is something that i find myself doing instinctively, and when picking up a script and reading it, i automatically go to add emotion to the piece. I would also say that i have a good stage presence. When i am on the stage i understand my boundaries but also how to make myself seen, and i pick my moments well to when to increase the energy of the room. As for my weaknesses, i would say a big weakness of mine would me certain genres of acting. For me, i would say my biggest weaknesses as an actor would be playing both loving and comedic roles. It is something that i don't think i do well in real life, therefore using emotional memory to perform these roles become harder. I also think one of my weaknesses is singing. I do not think i am the worst singer in the world however i would love to improve on my voice as i know i have more potential in me. Personal Statemen...

REHEARSAL'S START Monday 11th November  This morning we were in the Theatre and it was our first official lesson with our new characters. I got Pinocchio! I was so happy when i found out as this is the role i auditioned for and i believe i will be able to do a great deal with it and it will stretch my abilities in all aspects - especially physicality. I look forward to working closely with my cast and bringing this character to life. We started the day as we always do with a few warm-up games including Ninja, Lockers and the Bus Game, as all of these games help us with our imagination and concentration. Preparations The first thing that I needed to do to prepare for this clip is find where in the movie I wanted to take the scene from. I've decided to go from the point 30:37 - 32:30 Once i had my scripts, i was able to give one of them to Kieran who is working on this script with me Once all preparations had been in place, we moved onto filming. This was great - setting up all the set, working out camera angles etc. It went smoothly and there were no issues, currently in the editing process. Exploring Emotional Depth in Duologues from Dear Evan Hansen DUOLOGUE: Evan & Connor     PARTNER: Charlie   Given Circumstances: In this scene, Evan is sat in the computer room after writing out one of the letters he has to write for therapy and prints it out when Connor enters, as usual he is angry and he approaches Evan, making fun of him - this is the first real interaction/conversation with each other the characters have, it is an awkward atmosphere. In this scene, Connor signs Evan's cast and proceeds to grab the letter from the printer, discovering Evan has been writing about his sister, causing him to freak out and become even more angry than usual.
